OncoTherapy Science, Inc. (OTS) is a research-based venture company founded in April 2001. The mission of OTS is to provide innovative anti-cancer medicines with higher efficacy and a minimum risk of adverse events based on the comprehensive research on cancer genomics and biomedical analysis conducted by Professor Yusuke Nakamura of Human Genome Center, Institute of Medical Science, the University of Tokyo.
Many anti-cancer drugs currently available in the market often cause severe adverse events to patients due to their strong cytotoxicity not only to cancer cells but also to normal cells. OTS has been hardly attempting, therefore, to create new anti-cancer medicines, with higher efficacy and a lower risk of adverse events than existing ones by selecting the target genes and proteins abundantly expressed in the cancer cells but being hardly detectable in normal cells
OTS aims effective development of anti-cancer medicines such as antibodies, small molecular compounds, dominant-negative peptides, siRNAs and peptide vaccines, through our own research and/or collaboration with other pharmaceuticals partners.
